Features
- Overview
Broadcastr is a microblogging virtual appliance that runs securely on your corporate network. It offers lightweight communication: post a status update, ask a question, shares news, links, opinions, and information.
- Virtualization
Broadcastr runs as a preconfigured VMware virtual machine that will run on VM Workstation, Player, Server and ESX Server.
- Directory Integration
Seamless integration with Active Directory or Lotus Domino LDAP; other flavors' coming soon.
- Groups and Projects
Anyone can create a group or a project for others to follow, i.e., Cambridge Office, Bike Commuters or Holiday Party Planning.
- Export
All designated system administrators have the ability to export all posts to a .csv file.
- RSS Feeds
Internal or public feeds can be added and followed by users; after all, aren't they just another form of broadcast?
- Search
Perform quick searches of all broadcast content or lookup users, groups, projects or feeds.
- Ease of Use
Broadcastr makes it easy to communicate with coworkers. You can use their @usernames or simply click on any occurrence of their name and post on their page (like on Facebook) netting the same result.
- Architecture
Broadcastr was developed from the ground up based on the messaging model, not the CMS model that has plagued the performance of twitter. This ensures a stable platform.
- It's truly yours
Broadcastr is a one time purchase. Maintenance is available for support and future upgrades.
